TWB Sunday 13th February

I dont think i will be around tonight (saturday) so this is a reminder about the big game against the wild bunch on sunday about 8.30 ish

should be a 15v15 if all can make it
normal cod SD
on our server
usual password for wild bunch matches
Not sure what maps, we will probably choose them on the night

The first game was good on Dawnville, but on Brecourt they fell to pieces after we switched from attacking to defending and quite obviously 'gave up' and just held back to their spawn point 8O .

Then, one of their number (a new one I think) said 'how do you get from one side of the map to the other so fast' (or words to that effect).... :roll:

Rince asked them very clearly from the outset as to whether they were happy playing 15 v 12 (as they were 3 short) and they said 'no problem'. This changed to 15v13 later.

None of us could understand why they weren't playing to their usual high standard (although Russ suggested that this was due to playing too much UO).

Still, I hope that we can continue with our regular friendly matches with TWB, as up until yesterday they have been very closely fought contests and most enjoyable.

probably a combination of too much UO and i think some new ones might have been playing because Butch had asked for ff to be off, plus maybe the tactics we have been practicing helped a little

i just think it was down to our play that we were winning them from the start.
even if it had been 15 men each i feel that the outcome would of been the same.
yes it was only a friendly, but even still they shouldnt of spat their dummies out and lobbed their toys out of the pram. :evil:
at one point one of their men typed something about he wished killcam was on because he didnt believe how he was shot.

they need to get a grip, and if they do what they did last night again then we should think of sacking the friendlys with them as most of us did not enjoy the game because of this.

we still have plenty of clans who we can have friendlys with and now that we are in 2 ladders, dont think we will miss them really.

not all of them played like this though as jesse james played a blinder.

Right lets clear this up, first of all i aint no new member so you can throw that out the window straight away yeah. and i was the one that suggested the kill cam, if you took offence to this then well its not my problem i was taunting in the terms of friendly sportsmanship...now im sorry if you took this the wrong way and believe that we were just "spitting out our dummies" but each to there own if thats what you believe.
now i came here to apologize for my personal behaviour last night and if i caused much offence im sorry (which i can see that i did) but being a bad mood and playing COD do not mix.

now to playing COD, its true we dont play alot of standard COD anymore but thats what we do, what we choose to play is our choice...and we choose UO cause its better in our opinions and the fact that you wont play that against us. well one of us has to choose a game to play and we decided it be nice if we played you at COD.


now if you have a problem with this then fine, cya around if not im sorry and let us know whats happening.
dont critocise a group for the actions of one person, me. because thats just lame.

first of all there was more than one man who on brecourt just stood at the spawn not moving. :?:

fair enough if TWB play UO nowadays, but if TR did play you at UO im sure none of our members would behave in the childish manner you lot did if we were getting beat.

we at TR play COD for fun which is a main factor in how as a bunch of people who have never met really get along well.
but last nights game was not fun and your members embarrased yourselves by taking the actions you did.

if all this means a parting of our two clans then so be it.
we enjoyed our friendlys with TWB because you were a good bunch and very much like our selves in style and performance of play and our games were always very close.

only recently we played against CWS in UO and even though we never play it or train for it we did well against them.
we lost but never gave up trying and enjoyed it for that reason.

the parting of our two clans will not have effect on us both, but will sadly be missed. :(

p.s. i know some of TWB kept playing, and jesse james played a blinder which must of been hard with what the others were doing.

Well at end of the day its your choice, and if thats how you feel about it but if you wanna bitch, then bitch about me as im aware that no one else caused trouble apart from me...but be a shame to throw away a good clan friendship. As that old saying goes "Shit Happens" and the fact that you all just got caught in my bad side making me snappy and well a general arsehole.... anyway if you dont wanna play us again let me know, and ill tell TWB not to bother asking for a rematch.

How about this...

"How do you get across the map so quick" TWB DocScurlock, I believe wrote that whilst most of you were busy standing still at the Brecourt allied spawn point. I asked him if he wanted to spectate any of us and he didn't respond. I didn't take his comment as meaning anything other than which cheat* are you using.

Regarding this you might want to tell the Doc that if he stands still at the spawn point the other team will always cover ground faster, other than that try running with a nade.

You still haven't told us why more than half of you didn't move from your spawn area for the final rounds? Maybe your bad mood was infectious?

With last nights carry on plus some of your numbers recent (unfounded) critisism of one of our players style of playing, I'm afraid I myself won't be joining in any future matches against TWB, which is a shame because they have mostly been good fun.

As Rince said we'll have that Jessie James lad off you on a Bosman though! ;-)

*Still it is a nice backhanded compliment I suppose.

It's true I said something similar to that, and I apologize that I did'nt replied to your question as I was typing a reply to one of your teammates (can't remember who), who asked me if I accused you of cheating (not those exact words, but the same meaning). The reply to that question was "No, i was just wondering", maybe you knew a tweak that you would share with us or maybe it was just me..... i don't know.

Well I do apologize for my behavior yesterday and I hope we can meet again for a rematch.

I ducked out of this game before the end of Brecourt so I didn't catch any of this, but it does seem to me that there's a degree of hot blood going on here.

There's a tendency if we're being creamed (and it does sometimes happen), to start wondering about the other team's supernatural powers. No one likes getting thrashed and it's much better on the pride if you decide that they're cheating rather than you're playing crap.

The truth is that they were playing badly last night and we all know it's kind of soul destroying to get really hammered, which is probably partly where some of this chatter came from. We've been there and done it ourselves.

As a fairly new person to the clan I don't know the history with TWB but aside from occasional friction over style of play, (we happen to like our little bunny's style - heck I'm trying to learn a combo of it and Wags's prone style), you all seem to look forward to these monthly grand scale clashes.

If these truly are friendly games maybe the suggestion that was made in jest the other night - they were short of players we could lend them a couple to even out the sides- would have been wise. Made it clear the point was the fun involved not the win.

The comment about speed - I've often been amazed at how fast certain players can get from one side of Carantan to the other - and I've watched them do it!

We've got a month till the next game - what say we calm down a bit and see if in a few weeks we're willing to try it again?

No problem Doc, it was more the timing of the question that had me thinking and I hope you'll forgive me for wondering.

I have no ides if there is a tweak maybe it's down to lower pings. I ping at around the 50 mark and I don't notice any special fleet of foot. Maybe some of the lower pingers do move quicker though.

I'll have to race a lower pinger around Brecourt whilst waiting to ready up one day and publish the findings! 8O

of course we accept the apology and we must also apologise for our server crashing and thankyou for your clan kindly offering your server to play on.

The TR cannot have a go at another clan for voicing their concerns during the game because we have done it ourselves in the passed, so we cannot have a go at someone else doing it without being hypocrits, so lets not

We know we have no cheats amongst us and if any of TWB have any questions about how we did something then we would have no problem what so ever in sharing and demonstrating stuff like that, so just ask
