a other way to tell if the other side cheats

l've got a feeling that people will be doing this after every game :P


first COPY your Call of Duty MP desktop icon and rename it to whatever you want. Then, rightclick on it and copy the following line into the "Target" box:

+set thereisacow 1337 +set developer 1 +set sv_cheats 1 +set monkeytoy 0

so its like
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\CoDMP.exe" +set thereisacow 1337 +set developer 1 +set sv_cheats 1 +set monkeytoy 0

Please miss the fact that it says single player l just wanted to give you a idea of what the target box looked like


anyway load up via your new shortcut

and run your demo

once the demo is loaded just bring down the console and type

r_showtris 1

1 ---- enables wireframe mode

0 ---- turns it off

now you can see though everything and you'll get a idea if the other player seen you coming l know some people have that feeling sometimes
better still if you can get the person you think is cheating Demo off them

at least you know for sure if there gun is pointing at you before you go round that corner because they seen you coming

Just to add to this - you don't need to add anything to the exe shortcut as the r_showtris should work right out of the box, if you try it on a PB server then it should tell you that showtris is cheat protected (for obvious reasons) but you can activate it when watching a demo as obviously you don't need to connect to a server to view demos.
You can also set the tris number to 2, 3, 4 etc etc if you like, but 1 is the best setting for seeing if people are following you through walls.

Oh and one more thing, do youself a favour and download Seismovision demo player, it's so much easier to use that the ingame demo player, plus it has controls so you can speed up the demo so you don't have to trawl through round after round to get to what you want to see!
