According to Bluesnews.com, Valve have announced that CoD, CoD2 and UO are all going to be available on Steam.

Interesting.... am not sure if Activision would allow such things... but perhaps them being older, they want to see if they can flog a dead horse a bit more while seeing if the distrabution model is better and cost efficent?

That or bluesnews been on the crack again :)

Meanwhile, if you go on Steam, you'll see that the games are indeed available.

Hey that means that the new patches will auto-update - no, wait, that's for other games. :cry:

oooooooooo, I just remembered something... they enjoyed after market profits on the XBoX360 Live platform by releasing a pay-for map pack.

This, I would bet, is a step into the subscription model for the after market cash cow they discovered on the Live platform.

Why would you pay for maps when you can just get costom ones for free, which is basicly what they're trying to sell, though they'll probably call them offical maps to make the look shineyer.

i would pay so much i suppose for the wages of people producing patches to make the game better, but not for maps that people make for free to download. :?
