hopik is there an equivalent word in swedish?
I know you asked Hopik but as I know a bit of Swedish, and seeing as I've lived a quarter of a century in this wonderful oblong land, I feel a tad qualified to answer.
Flinch = Svikta or without flinching = rycka till utan att blinka.
Now what you going to do with that info Pup? haha

Tell you what any closer and you'd be in serious danger of getting more than a singe off the backburners. It happened here a few years ago a Swedish Air Force Saab Viggen (think it was) pilot blasted a mate of his and his girlfriend who were watching him take off from a hill, he came so close to them that both received terrible burns.
