Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the training last night! I feel better about joining you on Sunday now, especially as we all seem to get on alright!
I must remember to keep an eye on the bloody compass though. I headed off two or three times to defend the radio and the bloody thing had moved to the other side of the map. Its disconcerting seeing everyone running in the oppsite direction. I'm only used to looking at the compass to see if any friendlies are near if I hear foot steps.
Might be an idea to ban Villain (aka Uses-Nades-Asks-Questions-Later... with Wolves) from using nades too!
One thing I have to admit that I'm not sure about this budding up malarky. I found that quite distracting. Its to difficult to find your buddy or check if they are still alive and also concentrate on the task at hand. I think it'd be better for one person to take command and ensure all the right places are defended by any available living player.
I also dont believe its a good idea to defend to close to the radio. I believe its better to spread out a bit and find a place where you have a good view of as much of the map as possible. Corners of buildings are good, as well as rooms with windows on as many sides as possible. The reason for this is that you can stop the enemy futher away from the radio. You can also give early warning of any enemies approaching. And if you die the person that kills you still has further to go to reach the radio which obviously takes time. While this time is ticking away your spawn time is getting closer! Also because your spread, approaching enemies will be forced to be cautious at all times because they will come to know that you might be anywhere!
What do you think?
Its a shame there is no map commander type player in the game who has a birds eye view of the map and can see where every friendly unit is, and direct them. This would make things really interesting! I think this is being developed for some games.
Also where do we get these colour coded maps to print out?
And is there anything we need to know about Sunday? Or will it be more or less the same as last night?
God!
