bloody Kill Cam. I mean you get yourself in a good position that's worthy of a few decent kills and what happens? I'll tell yer, some ppsh/thompson merchant hell bent on vengence (because he was stupid enough to walk into your trap) watches his death on kill cam (how realistic is that?) and mows you down.

Now I know what you are thinking move and kill, move and kill. Well that's fine on some maps but you move to much with a rifle (and I'm talking unscoped here btw) and you'll walk straight into a machine gun.
In my opinion if the player I've killed isn't aware enough of how and where he got killed then why should I suffer because he charges about in the open like a headless chicken!

For those that will say that Kill Cam helps people learn the game to show them how not to die, I say this, it makes them lazy as they know they can use Kill Cam to find kills and killing areas. In fact it's not much better than cheating!!

Now that was some rant eh?

Oh aye and while we are at it get rid of scopes except when we are practising and in clan matches where only one per side should be allowed.

i think the designers of COD put the kill-cam in to make the game a bit faster and more exciting. due to MOH where on maps such as DESTROYED VILLAGE, a good sniper could put up his tent , get out the hot-dog sausages and stay there for hours gladly picking of the idiots who entered their view. where as now it is more of kill and move.
also when i heard of a kill-cam being introduced i thought it would be used to detect cheats such as wall-hacks and aimbots.
but....i agree with ECHO, and it is now being used as a cheat itself.
a snipers job is to use stealth and keen eye, but with kill-cam this is no more longer possible. and everyone should just use machine guns.

echo i totally agree with the kill cam thing, it is one of the few unrealistic things on COD. and i can see the problems it causes for those who can use a long barreled weapon.

yes i see the training value, in particular for ourselves as a clan to use as a learning tool. learning from each others strong points, and the "where the ...... did that come from factor". and i wouldnt imagine on the od ocasion you or others would object to this (now and again for TR training only).

As to its abuse, yes your right, and im as guilty as the next COD player, and on the flipside just as miffed when it bites back :) if its on surley 95% of folks will use it atleast once in a game ? (even you m8) :)

As to wheather it should be removed ? not that i have the power :) is an issue that im sure will be looked at now that you have mentioned it. I think its a given that it will never find its way onto a clan game. I know other severs dont have it on lets see what others think in regards to the TR public server.

it has been an excellent tool for learning how and why and from where you were shot... and yes its a great tool to spot potential cheats ... but yes i agree with the above

if no one has any major objections to taking kill cam off then we will disable it

l have mixed feelings about killcam it is great to see where you where killed from it gives you a idea of how the player plays the game and it does cause the other player mostly to move and take up a diffrent postions.

and l do like running quickly to where they where throw greades and blazing my thompson for some revenge even if its not realistic

and it is a great tool for spoting cheats

l do like the it when you bash someone one the head from behind while following then for 2 mins without them knowing l always hope there watching the kill cam and getting angry :evil:

but if you suspected a cheat killed you just watch on them spec l also one of those people who think the game should be more realistic

if there was a such thing as a killcam in WW2 l think the germans would have won :lol:

Being a new boy on the block and bloody hairy, i would think that there are two versions to this kill cam

1 is that snipers have scopes and can see from about 19 miles away, they have the advantage of long distance kills.

2 Some players only play the game for close combat, cos thats their thing , so kill cam gives the chance of making some nice kills.

In summary

The sniper if staying in the same position, is this not then considered CAMPING.....and how many of us have been accused of that?...loads i would suspect.

The answer i see is, move more around the map, be on your guard, check every door and crack, and you will survive,

camping is not considered a bad thing in our clan really, infact if a player can find a clever spot to hide and kill without detection then they should go for it without having to suffer being called a 'camper' in a negative way, they are simply playing the game the most effective way they can at that moment in time mostly... and like ech0 says, spending time and effort and brain energy in finding little sneaky clever hidey holes only to be found out by kill cam and not by your opponant working it out is not very fair

NO as in the real situation they have taken time to site thier positions, and the onus should be on YOU to defeat that sniper/rifle man. its like saying i like it realistic, but only to my specs and as long as i can win. the word camping always sounds to me like a copout for people who carnt or carnt be bothered to eek them out.

i find trying to kill these players a great challenge.

Yea I like to race around with a machine gun,but sometimes I like to use the rifle "without the scope".

It`s a shame it gives the position away of the guy who killed ya.
Would have been nice if they`d just showed the scope or rifle,doing the kill,as some of the shots are incredable,and then you have to say good shot,if his just taken the top of youre helmet off. :lol:
