Many thanks to Clanman for sorting this forum out so fast!

WELCOME TO THE LADDER FORUM!

The script is that to challenge for matches I click on the challenge button of the clan we wish to challenge on the clan page at codhq. I thought I'd pick a mid table plodder to start with although we have more to gain points wise by challenging a clan who are a lot higher than us in the table, so give me your thoughts on that.

I think we should kick off with a fixture in the S&D ladder (any objections let me know) and then the next time TDM or HQ. Retrival is also going to feature at some point so we'll need to look at that game.

On the form I have to submit I'm required to state the match date and time and our server details I also have to submit which map we want as our choice. The opponents also pick a map and we play both maps as both allies and axis.

So the first issue is which map do we want for S&D? We are good at defending Brecourt and Stalingrad from what I have seen but how are we at attacking them? Do you want me to pick maps at random or go with how I feel or shall I co-ordinate with all of you or just one appointed person? If the latter whom?

With the necessary info I will challenge one clan and wait. If it seems like it's going to be tough getting fixtures I'll just have to start booking lots of dates in the hope that someone bites.

Don't worry if it takes time to begin with. Once I've got the gist of the match challenge frequency it will be my ambition to have 2 matches per week. One on a sunday evening and one on a weekday night. This along with our regular EID match on a monday should feed the need for all of us, agreed? :)

Everyone who wants to play MUST be a registered player with us. You do this by registering your clan name at CODHQ (click the link button on the right hand side of our web page to get there quickly) when you have done this let Mental or myself know your log in id.

Finally when you view the ladders tables you will notice that you can click on the rules and scoring system. It would be a great help if as many as possible read the rules so that we are well equiped for any eventuality.

Your thoughts and any questions please?

ok i think from what i know of the clan, best start time is around 7pm or 7.30pm

yep brecourt we have practiced alot, but dont get too worried about which maps to choose, you know the ones we have practiced and which we might do ok at, so just go off your judgement... possibly with consultation with joe?

anyways dont worry too much about it, as a big sign above me head at work says

"we never fail, but sometimes we find ways that do not work"

Right Pup thanks for that. I will consult with Joe and others and when needed go off my own instincts.

Just for the record I am (as most know) approachable for ideas and requests regarding match times, maps, who we play etc etc

From now on anything pertaining to what we have and haven't practised should be posted on the [TR] Only Ladder forum further down.
I will also try to either have these posts deleted or moved there.

Thanks for your support :)

Good points by all here,I do agree with Joe we must practice the maps we are not familier with.
As we will come up against them from other clans.

for all those who have not yet registered on CODHQ, this is a reminder to do it as soon as possible and make sure you let MENTAL know your login name so that you can be added to the ThirdReich clan team list

If you do not register on the site then we will not be able to ask you to play in the ladder matches

Ech0 has started challenging other clans, so the sooner you do it the better

please go here and register
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

many thanks

Well it seems the TR only forum cannot be seen by all members. Russell for one told me he gets access denied. Judging by the amount of views (or rather lack of them) I'd say he's not alone.
