Recent Games

Wow, we have had 2 matches recently and man were they great. We are seeing a greater turn out of players which is most encouraging to say the least. Most players are now on TS which is also a great thing. When you do get a headset, to those players yet to invest in some, you will be greeted by the likes of Trust, Pup, Big joe, Clanman, Me, Echo and many others. Big Joe, being the Army Man, is a great coordinator and his knowledge of tatical playing is very valuable. You can tell that he has seen action in war. The war i refer to is the one in a scotish pub where he shouted out loudly that Mel Gibson in the film Brave Heart was a real Scotsman. This for some reason pissed off the locals who proceeded to kick his butt in true Clan style. I believe Trust and Clanman missed that battle as they were too busy that night discussing PC upgrades on TS.

Anyhow, we had a recent battle with the boys from Call Of Duty HQ and again we had a great turn out. The match was TDM and where do i start, well in 2 words, we had our butt kicked. I have never seen players that were as fast and accurate as those CODHQ boys. Big Joe was giving out team play tatics and at first we all followed the commands. However, it soon became apparent that the enemy were not playing to any kind of set peice. Just when we thought that we had worked out their tatics, they would change and to be honest, they were all over us!

I believe that we lost this match and it was a great learning expereince for us all. As they say, we need to have our arse kicked so that we can learn just how bad it feels...lol...

i am sure that we will kick their arse in the not so distant future.

The second match was last night 26/04/04. This was against our EID friends. After a late start and lots of ALPHA BRAVO DELTA TANGO from Big Joe, we started to kick their butts. This was A Search and Destroy game and i do have to say that we all played very very well. I think we are getting the hang of this style game well. We all defended well and attacked just as well. Clanman was having a great night and certainly gained alot of wins for us. PUP also had a great night with some fantastic kils. Big Russ was, well, Big russ with his normal excellence. Infact, dam it, we all played bloody well.

Over all we have had a great couple of games and i strongly believe that in a few weeks we will be a force of strength.

even though i did play for E.I.D on the night ive got to admit that TR played really well. considering that you all favour TDM to S&D i was amazed at how well you gelled together to defend and attack the targets.
i myself had to step up a gear just to keep up with the non-stop action.
at one point i thought the police would have come knockin on the door because all i kept screaming was either "PLANT THE *$#&*!* BOMB!!!"
or "GET TO THE $%^&#^* BOMB!!!"
ahem.......as i was saying, well played all but lets not forget that E.I.D also played well and give it there all.
i think a couple of people in the clan are now realising how intense and enjoyable S&D really is and maybe this could be a turning point in TR and open new prospects for the future.

as for the other match all i can remember is a wave of people charging at me from different directions and me running away a lot :oops:
my eyes were well and truly opened that night and i shut them again because i was scared 8O

we did out number the EID a little, so thanks EID for playing even tho we had a couple more than you for most of the game

im still not sure who won, but that doesnt matter cos it was great fun and thats what counts
