Hi lads
How do you guys fancy a friendly match using custom maps in CODWaW?
I was thinking of maybe setting one up Sunday 1st May?
You know how to get hold of me if you fancy a bash..

I'd be too. BUT since I've changed from Vista to Win7 I keep getting kicked by PunkBuster for the PnkBstrB.exe failing to initialize. I have done ALL what evenbalance.com suggests to fix it so now I have placed a ticket with their support to solve it. Dunno how long that'll take though...

Ok, now I'm feeling like a tease but I just looked at my rota and I'm working lates on 1/5/11 so I can't be in earlier than 10.30pm :(
I'd still have liked to see the maps though, don't think we ever used any custom maps on cod5.

Bear in mind that practice, even after downloading the maps, will only be possible on the TWB server as there are issues with custom maps on our linux based server.

Practice? Practice??! You are kidding, right?
TWB will know the maps and we won't. That's a TR recipe for success.

Sent you a PM Falky with all the details feel free to try the server out and even pratice a little..lol...No we don't know the maps as our only WaW server is a stock map TDM, so it should be a lot of fun..
We have set it to Domination as it usually means fighting all over the map..

You put the new maps in the usermaps folder,(you may have to make one).
/C/Documents and settings/your user name/Local settings/Application Data/Activision/CoDWaW/usermaps.
TWB are running a mod on the server, this will down load to the mod folder.
just unzipped the maps to my pc, all you have to do is unzip to the CoDWaW folder, it will create the usermap folder for you.

Although I can't play on the day I'm going to install it on the new machine for any future run arounds. However, this made me thought to mention - to anyone thinking of installing this just before they play......
the maps from falky's link are about 300mb
the patches for the game weigh in at around 4gb or so
and pb has to get happy with the set up too
so I suggest anyone playing in the match sets up well in advance.

Good advice Maggs (Gives Rince & Villan a Paddington Bear stare).
Already had a run around on the TWB server myself, had no PB woes.
