Willo might be best placed to answer this question, but any contributions would be welcome:
I cannot find Walls Neapolitan ice cream anywhere - can anyone help find it? All of the major supermarkets are stocking their own inferior version.
I can't possibly live through a summer without it! :sqno::sqshockedl::sqsad::sqgrowl:

You may have a problem then Flakey as their website doesn't mention the flavour. I suppose there might be something out there with added penecillin (ie beyond it's use by date)...

Let me rephrase my response. They way I spell it, it's not on the site.
I think Villan's link is a fake.

Sorry dude I cant help, I have an icecream maker so dont buy commercial icecream anymore.
I think you mentioned that you were going to retire this year or next. So given that you'll have a bit more free time on your hands - and you like icecream - why not have a crack at making your own? Now dont dismiss the idea off hand and think its not worth it or too hard... its not! And you'll impress the fuck out of all your friends and relatives. Homemade icecream is easy to make and the end results will blow your mind (I guarantee that)! Flocks of 18 year old nymphomaniacs will be queuing at your door*
Let me elaborate and tell you how easy it is... its just mixing and heating:
Pan of milk on the stove to heat up.
While the milk heats, whisk some eggs and sugar until thick and pale.
Then whisk the hot (not quite boiling) milk to eggs and sugar (slowly).
Tip it all back into the pan and put back on stove.
Cook on a lowish heat and stir... never ever stop stirring**
When the mixture has thickened and coats the back of your spoon, stop.
Chuck in some 70% cocoa chocolate and stir until its melted and leave to cool.
When its cold, add cream.
Tip everything into your icecream maker and let the machine do the rest.
Feed to females, receive complements... maybe get lucky***
There! Easy as pie, any muppet can make the stuff. Obviously this is for chocolate icecream, but theres loads of flavours you can make. I have an expensive maker which can make icecream on demand that cost a few hundred quid. But those little £25 makers from Argos which you have to put in the freezer for 24 hours before you start produce exactly the same results.
* This might be a slight exaggeration.
** If the mix gets too hot the eggs will scramble and the icecream will tasty eggy, so keep the heat down low and never ever stop stirring, this is the only part where something can go wrong. Focus! Patience!
*** you'll be lucky!

Thanks Willo. I knew you'd have the answer, but what an answer! You are the God of food!
Thanks for the link Villan, but why isn't it in the bloody shops? Even Somerfield doesn't have it.
