As you may know Good Old Games (GoG.com) is a website selling old but favoured games cheap. It's got some interesting titles at the moment, one of which is a game I bought recently (but which turned out to have a corrupted disk - so this is a way for me still to see it at low cost). The game in question is frequently on must have/play lists in magazines and yet can be hard to find.

Beyond good and evil is an adventure game with a certain degree of sneak em up I suspect. It's selling for about $10 which is a bit under £7 and is about a 1.5gb download.
There's also Canon Fodder

at just 20mb and $5.99 which is about £4
If you're feeling really cheap :p you could also download the point and click adventure Beneath a Steel Sky for free
