Hi folks,

Just curious about this. I don't understand why these things talk about ultra high resolutions of 600x480. To my mind that's ultra low resolution. Granted I'm mostly looking at 8" to 10" models, but still.

?

no, but i have replaced all my wondowss with 52" plasmas which continually show tropical settings. Have the heating on full blast, chuck in a fan or two here and there and take some mind bending drugs and yer a made man.

That's dandy col, and I'm happy for you, however as this is a possible xmas pressie for me mum I'm not convinced she'd go for that slightly more ... insane option. :p

I'm just puzzled by the resolutions involved. Maybe it's not important if the frame is that small that the resolution appears to be low end.

Someone had one at work. Dont know what resolution it was, but it was pretty bad I thought, probably a cheap one though because pictures look better on my phone. From seeing it though, I'd say they're fad items and would prefer and good picture in a nice traditional wooden frame myself.

someone at work showed me one as well....it was pretty awful and low res., same as 7" LCD tv's which are also rubbish. you can get higher res pic frames but are more expensive.

hope this helps Maggott. :)

Cheers Bullitt. This is actually the brainchild of my brother's and whilst it makes sense cos she's always moaning that there's not enough wall space for all the photos she'd like to have up, I find myself measuring that against her technophobia which is a real TV hating, computer hating, gut feeling for her.

I can't help but feel if it aint fantastic it won't stay out of the box for long.
