Leaving aside the pointless name-calling etc.

The founder of the Football League was the Villa chairman, William McGregor (guess what nationality?)
and the reason it wasn't called the English League, is because McGregor intended Welsh & Scottish clubs to join eventually.
So if Celtic & Rangers do end up in the Premiership or whatever, it's just that they're over 100 years late.
