I ears feel like they're bleeding now but I'm interested to see who can and can't hear it. Thanks to my youth I'm now in pain...
You have to listen to it all the way through though, it didn't start hurting till about half way in.

I can. Very retro, all games had sounds like that in the past. :)

Well the sound its self is the sound of an old game cartidge loading converted into music somehow.

Speaking of Spectrum games, does anybody remember The Thompson Twins Adventure game on Vinyl, yes thats Vinyl,to those younger members thats a record, twas a freebie with C&VG back in the early eighties, i remember if you did'nt get someone to keep cranking my Dads Gramaphone whilst playing it, it kept crashing, so i had to buy a record player :), pure class the Speccy.

everyone knows you have to gently blow on the keys whilst the game is loading to ensure it doesnt crash. This really works!!! tell 5 friends in the next millisecond or you will die

That brings back memories, waiting 5 mins or more for a game to load into a speccy from your tape player, happy days:grin:
Or the game coding mags that had 3000 lines of code that you typed in and then pressed Run and it didn't work, oh the joy of the ZX81 and the wobbly 16k ram pack.
