Saw this in PCZone and thought it looked pretty damn beautiful (though I've no idea how well it works).

It's called DX1 Input System from Ergodex and costs about £125.

Basically you have a board and you lay out the keys however you like to suit your fingers.

i do like the idea that you can place keys under parts of your hand, like the wrist, so you can just put pressure on it to activate it

might be 'handy' (sorry) for those who are left-handed?

Have a look at how the guy has set up the board for CS.
PC Zone said it was brilliant but expensive.

Wouldn't work for me, I'm quite aggressive with the keyboard when gaming, which is why I keep hitting T to talk instead of R for reload. And I think I'd push them little moveable keys all over the place. I'm sticking with my trusty keyboard. Might be nice to find a bigger one tho.

The keys don't move - they're stuck down - you have to twist them off to move them.

Read the review from Tom's hardware.

Still too expensive though.

A few more than the rest of us by the sounds of it.

BTW, Trust, I've finally remapped my chat keys to the numeric pad in COD2, so no more typing messages in the middle of a fire fight!

Thats a shame Willo I was just beginning to understand some of your favourite phrases

'wewewwtetdsssdsartyyyy' = 'where's the Iron'
'sdsadaefefsdgrgrghrehrhrrhrhrehrhrehrhrehgefwfwas ausage' = 'I like food you know'

I had no idea there was such a thing as a gaming keyboard. Anyone got one? If so whats the difference. apart from the inflated price?

It aint how they look it's how they perform..... buy keyboards are such a personal thing, could never get used to the nostromo, it was a bit on the small side for me and the keys too close together. I dont mind using a normal keyboard though.

Dont know how you cope with the Nostromo to be honest. There aren't enough keys on it. Yes you can hit that red shift thing, but doing that while your in the middle of a battle and then hitting the other key you want is almost impossible. That said the layout, feel and action of the keys is fantastic on them. I didn't realise how crap my MS keyboard was until I'd tried the Nostromo. I still prefer a keyb for simplicity tho.
