MG Longbridge Reopening

Keep an eye out on the telly at 12 and see if you can catch a glimpse of me on the telly. We're officially reopening the plant today and all the press are here. I'm going to stand outside the canteen facing the camera's so might get a bit of coverage. Then I'll be off to stuff my face as they're putting on some free scram. I've already had about 9 cakes this morning. Lovely jubly!

Dont think they do care. And the reports that have been made aren't brilliant. Seems its still fashionable to slag off MG. ITN even trotted some ex-employees in front of the camera "Its not like it used to be"... Course its not you numpty!

Anyway, I was one the telly here and there, but missed it all myself.

And yes Col I did eat quite a bit. They used some really good catering so I did help myself quite a bit. Shall we have a competition and see who can guess how many cakes I ate. I'll give you a clue, it was more than 4.

Spot on Russ

Started off with 4 and a coffee. Scoffed those and went back and got another 4 and more coffee. Then had another 3 and some apple juice (healthy). Nothing then until lunch, beef, potatoes and rice. Then a big piece of chocolate cake. Went back to get some lemon cake but ended up getting some more chocolate as it was bloody lovely. Contemplated going back a third time for the lemon, but the chocolate was pretty sickly and I was feel a tad full by then. So the grand total was indeed 13 cakes.

However in my defense the first 11 in the morning were only little things.
