Thought we had just seen it. Some righteous people with no sense go to Burma, despite Mr Seen It All And Couldn't Give A Toss's advice to the contrary. The inevitable happens and they meet faceless bad guys, get captured and roughed up. Mr Nice Guy comes on the seen and passes on the information to 'John'. Then despite his obvious couldn't give a toss attitude, he finds a bit of humanity within himself and decides to go rescue them. And then all alone, he goes in and kills loads of baddies in various over the top ways. Meanwhile, said baddies become completely unable to hit a barn door at 10 paces. Whereas our antihero misses nothing. He rescues the lady, informs her that everything he does is effortless and easy. And selflessly allows her to escape, while putting himself at some assumed risk to cover her retreat. The end. The only thing we dont know is if he lives or dies. I suspect he'll get killed, she'll see it or find out in some convenient way, and then look down all thoughtful and then up again as she finally comes to the realisation she's been a silly billy and got our man killed over some idiot ideal which he told her would end in tears.
