I'm Virgin and I can't believe the wankers have put this out without even letting any of their existing customers know bit like how they never told anyone on 4mb like me that my charge would go up from 24.99 to 25 squid I know a penny doesnt sound like much but over thousands of users thats a nice bit of profit for the money raking bunch of scrimshankers.
750mb download before I get throttled what a load of crap.

Damn right I am, they never even had the decency to let me know that it was being put up by a penny, thats what pisses me off, big companies just doing what the fuck they like without consulting their customers first, after all without the customers where the feck would they be.
And if you look at the bigger picture if they rounded the price up on all there customers by a penny just think how much extra profit they actually made.
1 milllion customers 1 million pennies, I wouldnt mind a bit of that.

Hehehehehe about time you download leeches were throttled ;-) and you all thought Richard Branson was Mr Nice Guy....

I can't believe Kingy is so wound up about that - a matter of principle I guess !
Mr Branson will need to collect quite a few extra 1p coins before he buys his next island in the sun.

[QUOTE=Wags;47899]Hehehehehe about time you download leeches were throttled QUOTE]

i aint no leech i have a vip uploader account
i think tbh once this becomes more common knowledge customers will start complaining threatening to leave they will have to reconsider of charge less

even with the throttling still beats 99% of adsl isps tho ;)

this isn't really that new, they have been trialing this in preston and a few other area's for months.

They say it's to cut the top 5%, but is it fuck, they just wanna ramp all the speeds up to claim to be the fastest and the cheapest without any ill effects on the network.

Realistically, it aint too bad, just whore the network after hours @ 20Mbit

Its pretty ironic how a company called Virgin has managed to screw with all its customers by penny pinching, aye. Its like Virgin and sky are a couple of prostitutes working the red light district with sky having the most punters and therefore Virgin has resorted to dirty tricks.....and not those sort of dirty tricks niether. wankers.

1p increase. Ours went up £2 & we're still waiting for 20 Mbit.
On the bright side we got a reduction in our bill of around £20 a month permanently & a few extra tv channels thrown in for all the complaints we have made for the bad service we have had ie: high pings & massive packet loss since Telewest took over NTL. They even agreed to not bill us for our broadband until they sorted out our line. We got 1 month saving £35 for bb they soon got it sorted. Although we will see. Sunday nights service were'nt too great again. We may have to make another phone call.

This page will tell you when you're due to be upgraded to 20mb.
It hasn't been updated since 9 May and most places are still "To be confirmed"

Thanks Jane, I will have to complain more it seems.
Mind you I cant moan I spose, I got my new V+ box installed for zip, so that was a £75 saving  .
Just phone Virgin, found out the 20mb wont be connected in my area until the 20th of this month.
Pound to a pinch of poo, it will be just as bad  .

Oh the days of the simple 2mb, when speed was brill,.... now look at it.
