Things seem to be getting a bit thin on the ground for FPS ww2 games, get that feeling that they wont be around much longer, or is that me :grin: ??.

i always thought that cod4 should be based either in the pacific ww2 or in italy (plenty of battles there) im not going to play a bf2 enhancement but thats just me.

Yeah but the BF2 concept is OK, its just that EA made it into a pile of c**k. Tbh I like the look of it as the name Call of Duty could be any kind of FPS, it could even be a splinter cell styple thing, not that I ever think it will.

Either way COD is the best WW2 game around and I can't think of a middle east based combat game that I have actually liked enough to play properly (mainly because EA screwed up BF2 so much) but I et the activision team could pull this off, and do it well. They have the right idea about how the weapons should feel and just generally seem to a better job so I'm not going to disregard it just becuase they've changed the place and time you're fighting in.

Also I though all the MOHs so far were shite, everytime I tried to play them I just went back to COD thinking why did I do that.

but i think people are hoping moh airborne will be as good i just hope we arnt hoping for too much spearhead imho was crap so we cant really know how its gonna be

i think many games are coming out that will be worth a look at crysis, ET quake wars, cod4 , just to name a few

MOHAA was pretty much the same crew that done the vCoD game. MOHAA was good at the time, it did lack a lot of things that it should have had, but yes, the later additions to the franchise were not up to much.

i didnt know that , the accuracy of the hitboxes and stuff where good in both games tho made them very good games

not that i know... they are still at IW, basically the MOHAA lads were poached to start the new co, they produced CoD... MOH went downhill.

So i doubt that they be poached back unless flung mega bux, which i doubt as these people are never paid much.

* High frame rates
* Incredible physics
* Quick load-times

* Singleplayer: Ability to fly aircraft
* All cut-scenes are in first-person

* Multiplayer: Experience-based progression (ranks)
* Unlockable player customizations
* Unlockable weapon customizations
* Unlockable equipment
* Ability to call in air strikes
* Vehicles!

The article also blatantly states the game will be for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. All other speculation can end, as this is official.

There are some other details surfacing, but don't appear at high enough frequency to be credible. These are the things that multiple people have listed independently, so are likely 99% accurate.

the Multiplayer aspect of COD 4 sounds super fucking fantastic..

can't fucking wait for it to come out in November l'm so looking foward to it.. l'll be buying all my friends and family a copy as a early xmas gift even the ones without a PC and l'll be telling them to buy themselfs a fucking PC to play the greatest fucking game ever to grace the PC..

l'll also be buying myself 5 copys of the game.. can't fucking wait to unlock all that super fantastic Unlockable kickass motherfucking content
