OMG COD 2 patch looks way off

Gamecloud - Are there any immediate plans for a patch for the PC version of the game to deal with any issues that have cropped up since its release?

l can see myself going back to COD 1 to be honest...

heres what l find Gay about the game after playing it for a couple of weeks

Health system=GAY its a pain to see a player you have just shot hide for 2 seconds only for them to have full health again and now knowing where you shot from thx to the enemy locator

Enemy Loactor=Gay handy for those old people with bad hearing its shit to find out your postion has been given away because you fired your weapon only to find a posse of players after you because of that..

Weapons=Gay where the fucks the recoil on most weapon's l hate the feel of the weapons in COD-2

l miss single tapping the mp44 only to find it does not kill the enemy because they have got back to full health in a matter of a second thx to the new health regen l miss the great feeling you got from COD 1 pulling off a great shot l'm sure some people will know what l'm talking about.. and l also miss the times you hit a player only for them to run and hide in a corner building up there coerage to come out for a last blaze of glory before they meet there end..

No AC=loads of cheats at the moment for COD-2 IW seem to think with a pure mode enabled on the server that where all free from cheats..

Map's=a little bit Gay some are great don't get me wrong l hate how they ruined Dawnville as it was the best map in COD and most played.. perfect map.. some maps in S&D become over filled with smoke then the only tactics l seem to see in COD-2 is Rush Rush Rush.. they have took out all the thinking in COD-2 from a don't see clan matches being that fun

COD1=Chess

COD2=Checkers

Hitbox's=Super Gay l mean hit a person at any part of there body with a rilfe you'll find the enemy die right away unlike with other weapons say the MP44 when getting a head shot in COD 1 took the guy clean out.. or with the grand with a headshot takes them also clean out now its a case in COD-2 of hitting the guy 3 times in a row before they die.. or they'll start to regen...

Left Lean Fix= the first person viewpoint feels strange at times l mean as Col pointed out a couple weeks ago to us on TS it was because of the LL fix l mean l'm sure there's times you have spotted a guy at a window only for them to kill you when they have went out of your point of view only then to see you death in killcam to notice they could see you clearly quote from IW left lean fix threadHow could they ruin the game with such a fix? It's a visual and hit-box altering fix - they either get it right or they get it wrong. They can't add anything else into the mix to make the game worse for some players

to me COD-2 is COD for dummys.. no wonder people are going back to COD 1... like myself when l get back to really playing again...

anyway theres alot of thing's that piss me off in this game after playing it for a couple of weeks l've listed the main points the only thing this game has got going for it is that its nice looking apart from that its a Xbox360 game for us PC gamer's don't they know some of us PC gamers take gaming very serious..

the only word l've got for this game is souless.. maybe the reason for this has to do with them allieing with microsoft..

anyway when a patch comes out at some point maybe they sort some of the crap out.. and l'll come back to COD-2.. not playing a game when you see players like necro do well at lol and 50% of the players have shotguns.. then you know the game is in trouble

I agree with all you have written Russ....however I am tired of COD 1. I have got bored of playing the same old maps over and over again.

I will go back to COD 1 if everybody else does though as I like our clan spirit and playing together with everyone. The social side is important to me.

I will however continue my search for a good COD 2 CTF server and try to get people to play on our COD 2 HQ server (if we keep it) more often because those 2 diciplines have definitely improved in my opinion.

Some good things about COD2:

The British weapons are (finally) as good as the rest, the Sten is great and the Enfield is excellent both are poor in COD1.

The atmosphere in both sound and vision are superb.

As mentioned above HQ and CTF are improved and now enjoyable.

After that there's not a lot more to mention. :cry:

In closing I hope we can find a balance and play both...will it work though? Time will tell. I also hope IW come to their senses and if a patch doesn't come out then we at least get a modded version with a good anti-cheat program for the claning community..I'm not holding my breath though. :cry:

Maybe we should wait for PAM before we write it off completely?

Have to agree with Russell on several points.

I hate the health system for the same reason, shoot a guy and if he hides he comes back with full health and just to add insult to injury probably kills you :cry:

The weapons need recoil adding, the garand is to fast more like a mg and alternate fire for weapons needs to be reinstated.

Enemy locator wtf and why? element of suprise completely lost, so if you do just wound someone and not kill outright you have to move cause the locator tells them where you are/were.

I like some of the new maps and I like what they have done to some of the old COD maps, I get easily bored playing the same maps over and over and the additions to the old maps have refreshed them for me added new dimensions.

Weapons balance is daft, the russians now have two super accurate fast mg's that never seem to miss (no recoil prob again).

The Hitboxes need looking into adjusting, a headshot should be a instant kill, not oops got shot in the head lets just hide behind this box till my brains stop leaking out and I'm fully recovered, as if :roll:

But reading Russells post it doesn't look like any patch will be out soon.

Oh well will keep on playing COD 2 but also throw in a bit of COD and DOD2 and not forgetting BF2 just to keep me sane :wink:
And not to forget popping into beardie land for a bit of 2ft 6 gnome rogue action :lol:

There are plenty of mods out just now with some fixing the recoil and rate of fire EUMC server for example theyve been using a similar mod.

Pam wont fix the recoil or hitboxes though so no point in waiting for it.

good points russ and i agree that blind chimpanzees can play it as skill has been removed.
i mean even cs and css players are joining in because its so easy ffs. :evil:

i rarely use snipers anymore because the fun is gone.
i know its more realistic with the no breath, but having the scope move while aiming was were the skill was involved. :cry:

dislikes: red crosshair (wtf!!), too much smoke, grenade indicator, red dot indicator, skull and crossbone icon showing for dead allies, that shitty desert map in the dark.

i like all the weapons and what they have done to the original cod maps.

we can still play it between ourselves though if not competitively. :wink:

l'm not saying it from a clans point of view l'm saying it in my own point of view.. seems like l'm not the only one who after a playing this game feels let down..

yes the sounds are great l ment to put that in also when l was saying that it was just a game that looked nice also ment to put that red crosshair problem in there also

yep.. they sorted some of the weapons true but the have fucked up most of them.. l think the mp44 should be renamed to the weapon of death.. if hitler has his hands on a weapon like that they would have not lost the War

the big difference with the weapons in COD2 is the control of the weapons l'm not taken about changing it to single fire mode anyway we each had a method of using a weapon in COD even if most people don't relies it they did have (i'e how to fire the weapon for best results) COD-2 has that one method of Fire feel for each weapon..[Only registered and activated users can see links]

like when l run about with a MG weapon l seem to get that feeling luck was more to the reason l killed the player say from was 20 feet away from me than when in COD1 when took that player out with a small burst of fire from the thompson knowing skill had more to do with it than luck..

l for one never got bored of COD-1 all l got was satisfaction being one who never play's the MOD's or the Custom maps.. never once did l ever think of moving on to the next game that came alone.. apart from COD2 but that at the min for myself seems to be a let down.. after a couple weeks of playing the game flaw's outweigh the pro's about with the game.. at the moment

l'm already bored with COD-2 :roll: like l got bored of BF2 and any other game l might play for a bit never once did l get that feeling with COD1...

the flaws will get sorted through time but at the min it looks like IW don't give a fuck.. about the COD community.. when looking at the IW forum's they seem to run that with a iron fist l mean if you say anything bad about the game our IW they seem to lock or deleted thread's also they have the people on the forum who all they seen to do is suck up to IW anyway back to VCOD l go.. :wink:

Mmmm I dont think too many folks would argue with the fact that there are problems with COD2 that need sorting. The fact that a patch seems to not be on for a time is amazing 8O

Surley you would like to think that if lobbied by enough gamers somthing would be done for the multiplayer market. Perhaps we should canavas more opinion out there in the COD world and direct it to the software house; after all its a buyers market and they would react to the many rather than the few surley?

As for the switch back to vanilla? lets not be too rash and decide in one day. Like Echo im in it for the social as much as the game so I guess you could say I dont mind; and Im not fence sitting! COD2 is a pretty game with a few nice whistles n bells, that said I do understand the frustration of some of the better players, not to mention the way Ive been playing since my return; perhaps its cos Im brill and COD2 is f/king my game up to russ 8O
