Off to Berlin on Friday to run the Marathon this Sunday, followed by several drinks in the seediest parts of town I can find.....I was going to put a link in so you could see how fast/slow I run it...but can't find the bloody thing.....

Shame I haven't got a special Third Reich t-shirt to run in......anyway wish me luck I will need it!!!!

Good luck Envoy, you fitness freek you. Upon reflection I think it would be unwise to wear a 'Third Reich' T-shirt or vest...you know how sensitive the Berliners can be to such things....

I wish I could run, I get a stitch just walking to the front door

Good luck mate, I know you'll enjoy Berlin again!

Had a great time there myself in june. Anyone who hasn't been I can recommend it. Plenty of history if that interests you. Plenty of bars pubs restaurants if that's what you are after and not expensive either. 8)

Third Reich T-shirt might raise a few eyebrows (and arms?) lmao !

DR in German btw (Dritte Reich)

Where you staying ?

Staying at the 'Hotel Berlin' ..not sure of the details, my mate has arranged it all....really looking forward to it, although noticed that 4 people died doing the great north run yesterday, so don't think I will have a pre-marathon piss-up this time!!

I beat my mate by 10 mins...which means he improved his time by an hour!! I also managed to beat the twats dressed up as Asterix and Obelix, who were being much too cheerful...as after 18 miles I went into a 'wanting to kill everyone' mood.....
