i found out by accident today that there is an actual official charity of the computer and videogames industry, their mission is to "To help disadvantaged young people realise their potential by providing training, education and support of youth charities" ... very cool i thought
i had read a news report and i quote..
"they will be producing four ESC Gamers wristbands that it will encourage the UK's gamers to buy to raise funds for young people's charities.
The wristbands will be available in four colours signifying the main gaming consoles: blue represents the PS2, green the Xbox, purple the Gamecube, and red the PC".... even cooler i thought
then i went to their website to see if i could buy a red wrist band and to read more about them and what they actually do and maybe buy a red gamin wristband directly from them
nothing on their news release link.. so i clicked on 'how you can help' link
which sent me to ebay where they sell donated stuff
have a look yourselves at the feedback and what they actually have to sell
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
come on "The Official Entertainment Software Charity" its a brilliant idea but this does not come across like you are taking this seriously or doing it professionally
